Garden Cider posts an eighth in :9 3/5 at OBS under tack

Hip No. 692, GARDEN CIDER (Forbidden Apple) zipped an eighth-of-a-mile in :9

3/5 to post the fastest time at the distance at the second session of the Ocala

Breeders' Sales Company's under tack show for the 2009 Spring Sale of

Two-Year-Olds in Training. The bay filly, consigned by Bridlewood Farm, is out

of Stacie's Halo (Halo), a daughter of multiple stakes winner Stacie's Toy (Baldski).

Two horses shared honors for the session's fastest quarter, stopping the

timer in :20 2/5. The first to do so was ISHMAEL (Scrimshaw). Now consigned by

Hayden Thoroughbreds LLC (Rebecca Hayden), agent, as Hip 461, the dark bay is

out of Preciosa (Level Sands). Later on, Hip 608, a chestnut colt by Pico

Central (Brz), went two furlongs in the same time. Out of Sez Who's Gold (Gold

Fever), the Ontario-bred is consigned by Casse Sales LLC, agent, and comes from

the same family as leading sire Halo and three-time champion Tosmah.

The day's fastest three-eighths was turned in by SENDMETO THE CITY (City

Place). Consigned by All in Sales (Tony Bowling), agent, as Hip 604, the bay

colt posted a time of :33 1/5. He is out of Sendmesomeroses (Skip Trial), who is

a half-sister to Group 2 winner Silver Wisp (Silver Hawk).

All workouts were recorded and will be available for viewing at the sales

grounds and on the internet at obssales.com, indexed by Hip Number as well as

viewable and/or downloadable in their entirety. They will also be available for

in-room viewing at Ramada Inn, The Courtyard by Marriott, Homewood Suites,

Residence Inn, Barbazon's Sports Bar and the Ocala Hilton, plus lounge viewing

is available at the Hilton.

The under tack show continues Friday morning at 8 a.m. (EDT) with Hip No.'s

697 - 1044 scheduled to breeze.
