Goresbridge sale on tap

Goresbridge brings the current breeze-up season to its conclusion Monday,

with a 130-lot catalog including such sires as Acclamation, Choisir, Danehill

Dancer, Fasliyev, Invincible Spirit, Medicean and Noverre. Last year's inaugural sale at the County Kilkenny

venue produced a host of talented performers, including the recent Premio Regina

Elena (Italian One Thousand Guineas) (Ity-G3) runner-up Miss Annaleo (Alzao), who was purchased

for just 8,000.

Powerstown Stud's Hip No. 47 is the sole Danehill Dancer in the sale

and is a daughter of the multiple stakes-winning Hot Tin Roof (Thatching). Breeze-up

giants Mocklershill Stables offers the only Invincible Spirit of the auction as

Hip 52, a colt from the immediate family of the 1996 Chester Vase (Eng-G3)

scorer High Baroque.

Abhaile Stables' Hip 5 is by Val Royal (Fr), the sire of Cockney

Rebel, and she is out of a half to Blue Steller (Ire) from the family of

Sakhee. Hip 8 is a Statue of Liberty colt out of a half-sister to Scorpion (Ire)

(Montjeu [Ire]) consigned by Grangemore Stud. Hip 29 is a High Yield half-brother to the 2004 Metropolitan H.

(Aus-G1) runner-up Itemise from the draft of Ballintober Stables. Knockgraffon Stables consigns

Hip 59, a colt by Okawango from the family of

Gulch. The Bloodstock Connection's Hip 69 is a daughter of Desert Style from the

family of the dual Group 3 scorer Peace Offering (Ire) (Victory Note).

Hip 77 is a Domedriver (Ire) half-sister to the listed winner Terfel from Hawthorn

Villa Stud. Rathvinden Stables offers Hip 80, an Orpen half-brother to the

listed winner Not For Me (Mull of Kintyre) from the family of the top broodmare Solo de Lune.

Hip 101 is a Fath filly who hails from the world-class family of

Height of Fashion (Fr), consigned by Knockatrina House.

Breezes will take place

at Gowran Park racecourse in the morning, with selling starting in the

afternoon.
