Harmonize takes wide trip to Jessamine victory

Last updated: 10/7/15 6:04 PM

Larkin Armstrong's

Harmonize (Scat Daddy) got her first graded win the hard way on Wednesday at

Keeneland, circling the entire 14-horse field eight wide in the $150,000

Jessamine S. (G3) to score a neck victory under jockey Junior Alvarado.

The Bill Mott-trained juvenile miss stopped the clock in 1:44.19 for 1 1/16

miles over the firm turf, and will be shortening up to just a mile next out in

the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1). The

Jessamine was the final event on the "Win & You're In" Challenge schedule

this year and guarantees Harmonize a spot in the starting gate on October 30 at

Keeneland.
