Honeymoon time for Foxysox, Attima

Last updated: 6/2/06 5:03 PM

FOXYSOX (GB) (Foxhound) and ATTIMA (GB) (Zafonic) will make their first

encounter in Sunday's $175,000 Honeymoon Breeders' Cup H. (G3) at Hollywood

Park, and both European imports will be making their first start past a mile in

the nine-furlong turf affair. Foxysox was completely unheralded when making her

U.S. debut at long odds in a February maiden special weight event at Santa

Anita, but she won that afternoon and hasn't tasted defeat stateside, winning

four straight, including three stakes. She enters off a 1 1/4-length score over

the course in the Senorita S. (G3), and the Carla Gaines charge will keep

regular rider Alex Bisono in the irons as the 122-pound highweight.

Attima recorded a runner-up finish in a French Group 3 event last year and

made a smashing U.S. debut for Julio Canani in a May 10 allowance race at

Hollywood, easily winning by 3 1/2 lengths as the 3-5 chalk. Victor Espinoza

will ride the bay filly once again. La Habra S. winner HARRIETT LANE (Giant's

Causeway) and English stakes-placed GALILEO'S STAR (Galileo [Ire]), who will

make her U.S. and 2006 bow for conditioner James Cassidy, are also entered in

the contest for three-year-old fillies.

Galileo's Star will lead the post parade in the seven-horse field under a

115-pound impost that includes David Flores. Next comes Attima, 118; Foxysox;

ARLENE (Game Plan), Juan Ochoa, 118; Harriett Lane, Jon Court, 119; PROXENIA

(GB) (Pursuit of Love), Alex Solis, 114; and ROYAL CHEER (Royal Anthem), Martin

Pedroza, 114.
