Courtlandt Farms' homebred INDESCRIBABLE (Pleasant Tap) tracked in third on

the backstretch of Friday's $100,000

Doubledogdare S. (G3), circled the pacesetting Awesome Ashley (Unbridled's

Song) on the turn and continued on to post a 2 1/4-length victory under jockey

Kent Desormeaux. Trained by Bill Mott, the chestnut mare returned $5.40, $3.20

and $2.60 as the 8-5 favorite while keying the $32.60 exacta, $193.40 trifecta

and $766.80 superfecta (8-4-1-6).

Awesome Ashley moved to the front to set fractions of :24, :47 1/5 and 1:11

while followed by Crown of Diamonds (Distorted Humor) and Indescribable. She

maintained an advantage heading into the turn but found Indescribable ranging

up on her outside. The eventual winner continued her momentum down the stretch,

eventually finishing up 1 1/16 miles on the Polytrack in 1:42 2/5.

Serenading (A.P. Indy) rallied to take down second by 2 1/4 lengths over

Tejida (Rahy), paying $5.40 and $4 at 7-1. Show was worth $5.20 at 8-1. Miss

Isella (Silver Charm) rounded out the top four and was followed under the wire

by Awesome Ashley, Crown of Diamonds, Drop a Line (Lemon Drop Kid) and Sefroua

(Kingmambo).

Indescribable earned her second straight graded score in this one, having

previously captured the November 15 Cardinal H. (G3) at Churchill Downs in her

four-year-old finale. She also added a win in last year's Arlington Matron H.

(G3) to her record and placed in the Go for Wand H. (G1). Third in the

Doubledogdare last season, Indescribable has now banked $394,595 in lifetime

earnings to go along with a 17-6-1-4 career mark.

The Bluegrass-bred is out of stakes heroine Catnip (Flying Paster) and has an

unnamed juvenile half-brother by Pleasantly Perfect and an unnamed yearling

half-sister by Arch. Catnip is herself a half-sister to European champion Hold That

Tiger (Storm Cat) and two-time Grade 1 hero Editor's Note (Forty Niner), and

hails from the same female family as top sire Hennessy.
