Inglis Autumn Yearling Sale begins
The William Inglis & Son Autumn Yearling
Sale begins on Sunday, with a total of 435 yearlings cataloged for the two-day
affair held at Oaklands Junction in Melbourne, Australia. Beginning in the
morning, 292 yearlings will be up for grabs during the first session, with the
remainder selling Monday.
Stallions represented in this
year's sale include Bianconi, Bel Esprit, Dash for Cash, Invincible
Spirit, Untouchable and Umatilla.
Of significant interest is
Lot 117, a bay colt by Group 1 winner Platinum Scissors, a full brother to Redoute's Choice. One of only eight live foals produced in his sire's
first crop, the colt is out of Rulable, a daughter of Melbourne Cup (Aus-G1)
hero Kingston Rule.
Past graduates of the sale include VRC Australian Cup
(Aus-G1) winner Pompeii Ruler (Genuine), a graduate of the 2004 edition of the sale.
