Last updated: 4/3/15 4:42 PM

The final four races of Keeneland's opening day program Friday were canceled

due to inclement weather that swept through central Kentucky. Horses were on the

track for the 7TH race, but were sent back to the paddock after the decision to

cancel the remainder was made.

The featured Transylvania (G3), which had already been transferred from the

turf to dirt, was among the the races canceled. The race will be redrawn and

re-scheduled for April 15, according to Keeneland officials.

Racing is scheduled to resume at Keeneland on Saturday beginning at 12:35

p.m. (EDT), when the Blue Grass (G1) highlights an 11-race program that includes

four other graded stakes.
