Renegade’s decisive triumph in the Arkansas Derby impressed bettors more than the hard-fought nose triumph of Commandment in the Florida Derby (G1). Commandment settled as the 7-1 second choice, the only other horse offering single-digit odds.

Other popular choices included The Puma (12-1) and Chief Wallabee (13-1), the second- and third-place finishers from the Florida Derby, and Emerging Market (15-1), winner of the Louisiana Derby (G2).

Had bettors been able to factor the outcomes of the Blue Grass, Wood Memorial, and Santa Anita Derby, a few horses might have started at significantly lower odds. Kentucky Derby Future Wager Pool 6 drew $393,707 in wagers, down from $483,121 in 2025.
