Prom Queen punched her ticket to the big dance, the $1.5 million Kentucky Oaks (G1) at Churchill Downs on May 1, with an impressive 2 3/4-length decision in the $265,000 Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2) on Saturday.

A homebred racing for Gary and Mary West, Prom Ticket will enter the 1 1/8-mile Kentucky Oaks with a perfect record around two turns. She entered Gulfstream's signature event for three-year-old fillies off of an eight-length maiden win over the same 1 1/16-mile distance.

Ridden by Javier Castellano, Prom Queen wore down long-time leader My Miss Mo approaching the furlong pole and drew off to a comfortable score. My Miss Mo finished 3 3/4 lengths ahead of 4-5 favorite She Be Smooth, who had beaten Prom Queen in their mutual debut before winning the Davona Dale (G2) by six lengths.

Trained by Brad Cox, Prom Queen completed the fast-track test in 1:44.40 and paid $8.20.

"It seems to me the longer the better for her," Castellano said. "The way she finished was very impressive. I rode her all the way, a mile and an eighth, let her gallop out, and she did really well. I had a lot of horse."

The order of finish was rounded out by Betty's Pearl, Nasti Z, Just Singing, and Haute Diva.

Prom Queen earned 100 qualifying points toward the Kentucky Oaks, My Miss Mo increased her total from 25 to 75 points, while She Be Smooth's total rose from 50 to 75 points. Betty's Pearl earned 15 points and Nasti Z secured 10 points.

A Kentucky-bred by Quality Road, Prom Queen was produced by Miss Bling Bling, a daughter of Tapit and Canadian champion Milwaukee Appeal. Miss Bling Bling is a full sister to Grade 2 winner Actress, herself the dam of Dubai World Cup (G1) winner Hit Show.

In the most significant of the undercard stakes, multiple Grade 1 turf star Far Bridge ran his local record to 5-for-5 with a successful title defense of the $202,500 Pan American (G2).

Indeed, the result was a virtual rerun of the 2025 Pan American, as Far Bridge caught pacesetter Corruption in the final strides to prevail by a neck, the same margin by which Far Bridge beat Corruption 12 months ago.

Owned by LSU Stables and trained by Miguel Clement, Far Bridge finished up 1 1/2 miles on firm ground in 2:23.51. Flavien Prat was aboard the 6-5 favorite, who paid $4.40.
