Magna Light (Magna Graduate) and Uncle Vinny (Uncle Mo) are likely to return

in the September 7 Hopeful S. (G1) at Saratoga, according to their conditioners.

Magna Light got the best of Uncle Vinny by three parts of a length in

Saturday's Sanford S. (G3) at the Spa, but was disqualified for interference and

placed behind third-place runner Percolator (Flashy Bull) in a controversial

decision by the stewards.

"He looks good, he looks pretty happy. He still thinks he

won," trainer Rudy Rodriguez said of Magna Light. "In our mind, the horse won the race, but unfortunately

they took us down. It's tough. We work very hard to get these horses to the

point they are. To take him down like that, it's hard."

"I really don't get enjoyment or satisfaction out of those kinds of

situations, like you would when they cross the finish line first," admitted

Uncle Vinny's trainer, Todd Pletcher. "Any of us that have been in the business

very long have been on both sides of those, so we know how much it hurts when

you're the one disqualified."
