Moore earns G1 double at Woodbine; Pretty N Cool scores in Matron, Kitten's Point takes

Jockey Ryan Moore completed a Grade 1 double at Woodbine on Sunday when

piloting both Curvy (Galileo) and Cannock Chase (Lemon Drop Kid) to victory on

Canadian International Day.

Moore was aboard

Curvy as the David Wachman trainee rallied to take the $392,263 E. P. Taylor S.

(Can-G1) by 1 1/2 lengths as the near 5-2 favorite. The bay sophomore miss

ran 1 1/4 miles over Woodbine's firm turf in 2:02.88.

One race later,

Moore earned his third straight win in the $815,494 Canadian International S.

(Can-G1) when Cannock Chase powered home a 1 1/2 length victor. The Sir

Michael Stoute-trained four-year-old stopped the clock for 1 1/2 miles on the

green in 2:29.26 as the 5-2 favorite.

Karl Watson, Mike Pegram and Paul Weitman's

Pretty N Cool (Scat Daddy) got back on the winning track Sunday with a

one-length victory in the $200,000 Matron S. (G2) at Belmont Park.

With Martin Garcia aboard, the Bob Baffert-trained juvenile filly completed

the six-furlong

Matron

over Belmont Park's fast main track in 1:09.73 as the 4-5 favorite. Pretty N

Cool captured her initial two starts at Del Mar, including the Sorrento S. (G2),

before finishing 5 1/4 lengths behind Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1)

contender Songbird (Medaglia d'Oro) in the Del Mar Debutante (G1) last out.

Later on Sunday,

Kitten's Point (Kitten's Joy) earned her second straight stakes win for George

Strawbridge's Augustin Stable when taking the $125,000 Dowager S. (G3) at Keeneland

by 1 3/4 lengths.

Ridden by Edgar Prado, the five-year-old mare took over in the lane of the

Dowager

and pulled away to stop the clock in 2:30.37 for 1 1/2 miles on the firm turf

for trainer Graham Motion.
