A colt by More Than Ready brought the top price of $650,000 at Wednesday's

final session of the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's March Sale of Selected

Two-Year-Olds in Training. Iron

Horse Racing purchased the colt from the consignment of Nick de Meric, agent.

The chestnut colt is a half-brother to Blue Angel (Golden Missile), who

placed in the 2007 Lyrique S. and Marie P. Debartolo Oaks at Louisiana Downs. He

is out of the winning Silver Deputy mare Jouled Rhythms, who is herself a half-sister to

multiple stakes winner, course-record equaler and $569,341-earner Steal a Heart

(Crafty Prospector).

At the first under tack show on March 10, the colt breezed an eighth-mile in

September Yearling Sale.

The colt, who was the overall sale topper, was cataloged as Hip No. 373.

The highest-priced filly sold for $550,000 to John Ferguson, who was bidding

on behalf of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum. Named WHITE LAMB (Trippi),

the dark bay lass is out of the unraced Silver Hawk mare Chi, who is a

half-sister to the dam of 2007 Horse of the Year Curlin (Smart Strike). Chi is a

daughter of Grade 2 heroine Barbarika (Bates Motel).

White Lamb was cataloged as Hip 242 and cosigned by Woodside Ranch, agent for

New Bridge Bloodstock.

At the first under tack preview, the filly breezed an eighth-mile in :10. The

Florida-bred previously sold for $60,000 at last year's OBS August Yearling

Sale.

compared to the same session a year ago when 127 horses brought $14,359,000.

The average price jumped 26.9 percent, from $113,063 to $143,459.

Overall for the two-day auction, 233 horses were purchased for $33,380,000, a 25.8
