On Friday, Gainesway announced that leading international sire MR. GREELEY's

(Gone West) 2008 stud fee will be $125,000, live foal, due November 1.

"Mr. Greeley is now one of the top 10 sires in the world," Gainesway

President Antony Beck observed. "His success in Europe, with dual classic winner

and champion Finsceal Beo, has helped move him to the highest level of racing

and commercial success.

"This year Mr. Greeley had 20 individual yearlings sell for $300,000 or more,

including the $2.2 million sale-topping colt at Saratoga," Beck added. "His new

stud fee is being set by the marketplace, and the mares our fellow breeders have

already committed to him are truly outstanding."

In addition to classic filly Finsceal Beo, Mr. Greeley is also a leading sire

of two-year-olds, including the dual Group 1 winner Saoirse Abu. His Miraculous

Miss also placed in the Ballerina S. (G1) and just missed in last Friday's

inaugural Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint.

"In winning the classic One Thousand Guineas (Eng-G1) at Newmarket, Finsceal

Beo became the first colt or filly in Guineas history to run a sub-1:35 mile on

that uphill course," said Michael Hernon, Gainesway's Director of Sales. "Mr.

Greeley possesses Mr. Prospector-line miler speed and he is passing it on to his

progeny."

Mr. Greeley, a son of leading sire Gone West, has sired 20 graded or group

stakes winners to date, including Whywhywhy and El Corredor. Whywhywhy also

stands at Gainesway and is represented by Nownownow, a first-crop winner of the

Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf.
