Mutuel field favored once again
The all other three-year-old fillies entrant in Pool 2 of the
Kentucky Oaks Future Wager ended as the 9-2 favorite once wagering closed on
Sunday. The listing opened at 6-1, but the public followed the example from Pool
1 and made the mutuel field the choice yet again.
Among the individual interests, Grade 1 winners WILD FIT (Wild
Wonder) and BALANCE (Thunder Gulch) tied as the second favorite, ending at 7-1
each. They both made their sophomore debuts in the Las Virgenes S. (G1), with
Wild Fit finishing second to winner Balance by a length. Wild Fit matched her odds from
Pool 1 while Balance dropped from her 13-1 odds.
The only other filly listed at single digits in Pool 2 is
champion and Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) victress FOLKLORE (Tiznow). The D.
Wayne Lukas trainee ended at 9-1 and made her three-year-old bow a close third
in the Santa Ynez S. (G2). She was listed at 6-1 in Pool 1
