On the Breeders' Cup Worktab

Last updated: 10/15/13 6:36 PM

Game On Dude (Awesome Again), a probable heavy favorite in the

Breeders' Cup Classic, worked six furlongs in 1:12 1/5 on the fast track at

Santa Anita on Tuesday. It was the fastest of four moves at the distance.

The

Bob Baffert-trained gelding is unbeaten in five starts this year, romping to an 8

1/2-length decision in the August 25 Pacific Classic (G1) last time out. Mike Smith

will be up in the Classic.

Multiple Grade 1 queen Beholder (Henny Hughes), an easy winner of the

Zenyatta (G1) on September 28, drilled five furlongs in a bullet :58 3/5. A top

contender in the Distaff, the three-year-old filly will show speed from the

start with Gary Stevens.

Grade 1 vixen Book Review (Giant's Causeway), who exits a head second

in the August 23 Ballerina, sped a half-mile in :47 1/5. She's under

consideration for the Filly & Mare Sprint.

Multiple Grade 2 winner Fed Biz (Giant's Causeway), a one-length

scorer in the Pat O'Brien (G2) in his last outing, exercised in :48 3/5. The

Dirt Mile is a likely target.

Hopeful S. (G1) winner Strong Mandate (Tiznow), heading toward the

Juvenile after a disappointing seventh in the Champagne S. (G1), sped five

furlongs in :59 4/5 over the fast track at Churchill Downs.
