Multiple Grade 1 queen FOREVER TOGETHER (Belong to Me), a sharp 1

1/2-length scorer in the First Lady S. (G1) on October 3, logged five furlongs

in 1:00 4/5 over the Polytrack at Keeneland on Wednesday. The four-year-old will

contest the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1), but trainer Jonathon Sheppard

is concerned with how she will handle the hot weather in Southern California

because she doesn't sweat. Forever Together receives supplements for her

condition, and a can of Guinness beer is poured over her evening feed.

"You know your friends that drink a lot of beer tend to perspire heavily,"

Sheppard explained. "The same thing with horses."

Three-time Grade 1 king GRAND COUTURIER (GB) (Grand Lodge), who will

enter the Turf off a smashing 10 1/2-length score in the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic

Invitational S. (G1), breezed four furlongs in :51 over the firm turf at Belmont

Park.

On the Pro-Ride at Santa Anita, multiple Grade 1 winner DAYTONA (Ire)

(Indian Ridge), a close fourth in the Del Mar Mile H. (G2) last out, worked five

furlongs in :59 1/5. The Dan Hendricks trainee is preparing for the Mile (G1).

SPRING HOUSE (Chester House), a multiple Grade 2 victor, recorded

three-quarters in 1:11 1/5. Fourth as the favorite in the Clement L. Hirsch Turf

(G1) last out, the Julio Canani charge is expected to make his next appearance

in the Turf (G1).

Grade 1 hero IDIOT PROOF (Benchmark), one of the top contenders for

the inaugural running of the Turf Sprint, sped six grassy furlongs in 1:13 4/5.
