Grade 1 Norfolk star Creative Cause (Giant's Causeway), a leading

candidate for the Juvenile, drilled five-eighths in 1:00 over Hollywood Park's

Cushion Track on Thursday. The Mike Harrington pupil tied for the second-fastest

of 22 moves at the distance.

Ladies' Classic challenger Ultra Blend (Richly Blended), most recently

a close second in the Grade 1 Lady's Secret, exercised in 1:02 1/5. The Art

Sherman trainee scored her signature win in the Grade 1 Clement L. Hirsch two

starts ago.

Filly & Mare Turf candidate Cozi Rosie (Pleasantly Perfect) negotiated

seven panels in 1:27 3/5 for John Sadler. The multiple Grade 2 queen comes off a

slightly inconvenienced second in the Grade 1 Yellow Ribbon.

Filly & Mare Sprint contender Irish Gypsy (Hennessy) blitzed six

furlongs in a bullet 1:12 at Santa Anita, recording the quickest of six works at

the distance on the fast main track. The Bob Baffert mare, who exits a third in

the Grade 3 Rancho Bernardo Handicap, had previously captured the Valid

Expectations Stakes, Desert Stormer Handicap and Grade 2 A Gleam Handicap.

At Woodbine, Filly & Mare Turf hopeful Perfect Shirl (Perfect Soul)

worked five furlongs in 1:01 2/5 on the Polytrack. Last seen finishing a strong

runner-up in the Grade 2 Canadian Stakes, the Roger Attfield mare skipped a

projected tilt at the Grade 1 E.P. Taylor because of the rain-softened ground.

Multiple Grade 2 heroine Pomeroys Pistol (Pomeroy), who romped by four

lengths in the Grade 2 Gallant Bloom Handicap and is headed to the Filly & Mare

Sprint, motored a bullet three furlongs in :36 1/5 on Monmouth Park's fast dirt.

Grade 2 vixen Musical Romance (Concorde's Tune), a head second in the

Grade 2 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes earlier this month, sped a bullet

five-eighths on Calder's fast main track in 1:00 4/5 in advance of the Filly &

Mare Sprint.
