Red Evie sore after Sun Chariot
Red Evie sore after Sun Chariot
Terry Neill's RED EVIE (Intikhab) was
Monday reported to be showing signs of wear and tear after her disappointing
fifth-place effort in Saturday's Sun Chariot S. (Eng-G1) at Newmarket. Eased down in
the mile contest, the Matron S. (Ire-G1) winner trailed in last of five.
"She is 100 percent sound," conditioner
Michael Bell told PA Sport, "and I think her run was
probably just a combination of two factors. She is just a tiny bit sore on the
splint that bothered her in the summer, and it was probably the effect of a long
season, having been on the go since March."
