A field of nine has been assembled to go a mile on the turf at Hawthorne

Park in the $150,000 Robert F. Carey Memorial H. (G3). FORT PRADO (El Prado

[Ire]) was second in this event last year by just a neck, and has since been

bouncing back and forth between the shedrows of Jeff Trosclair and Chris Block.

Playing musical barns doesn't faze the gray five-year-old, who has captured

two Grade 3s and a stakes race so far this season. He most recently was third

while racing on the main track, and also filled that position in the grassy Sea O'Erin

Breeders' Cup Mile H. one race prior. The classy Fort Prado owns the BRIS numbers to take this one and avenge last year's loss. Robby Albarado, aboard for

both of his Grade 3 victories, has the call.

NO TOLERANCE (Afternoon Deelites) has finished off the board only twice in

his past 10 starts. Only three of those starts came on the turf, but all three

were stakes and the Michael Campbell charge won the Mister Gus S. before placing

in the other two. The bay gelding owns competitive numbers and posted a bullet

half-mile work last Friday in :47 4/5 to prepare for this one. No Tolerance

looks to the set the pace here and could forget to stop under Jesse Campbell.

GIGAWATT (Wild Again) has been finding a new home every few

months and will be making his first start here for trainer Greg Geier. The dark

bay six-year-old captured the Miami Mile Breeders' Cup H. (G3) earlier in the

season, but has finished well back in three graded starts since. Nonetheless,

Gigawatt has the ability to come back and make an impact here with Eusebio Razo

Jr. aboard.

THERECOMESATIGER (Tiger Ridge) won the Sea O'Erin two back ago, then closed

rapidly from the back of the pack in the Woodbine Mile (Can-G1) to be beaten

only 3 1/2

lengths in sixth. The dark bay gelding has never been run poorly in his

10-race career and has posted numbers competitive enough to challenge. Mark

Guidry has the call. COME ON JAZZ (Jambalaya Jazz) was second by a head in the

Stars and Stripes Breeders' Cup Turf H. (G3) last out while making just his

second start of the year, and earned his last win at Hawthorne Park in October

of 2000. The Brian Williamson charge will likely be stalking just behind the

leaders and could come with a game enough run to threaten in the top three.

CLOUDY'S KNIGHT (Lord Avie) hasn't raced in more than a year but did capture

his final start of 2005, the Rossi Gold S. The six-year-old chestnut put up some

nice numbers last season, but we'll just watch to see if he can get

over the layoff slump. RAPID PROOF (Fast Play) has been competitive of late

while running against stakes company, but he'll need to improve here to earn a

spot in the bottom of the gimmicks.

GRAFTON (Rahy) is moving up from the claiming ranks and wasn't able to

compete in his prior start against graded rivals. We can't recommend. SCOOTER

ROACH (Mi Cielo) doesn't appear fast enough to keep up with these.
