WILL O WAY (Broken Vow), a solid 5 1/2-length winner of the Corte Madera S.

at Golden Gate Fields in her last outing, will return to the Southern California

circuit in Sunday's $100,000 Santa Ysabel S. (G3) at Santa Anita, and the

Vladimir Cerin-trained filly gets top billing in a well-matched field of nine

sophomore fillies.

Will O Way followed a debut maiden win at Calder with a third to likely

juvenile champion Stardom Bound (Tapit) in the Del Mar Debutante (G1). Her next

two starts were disappointing -- a sixth in the Oak Leaf S. (G1) and a fifth in

the Moccasin S. -- but she rebounded last time at Golden Gate, registering a

career-best BRIS Speed and Late Pace rating in the process. The bay

Kentucky-bred owns commendable tactical speed in a race that appears to lack

pace, and Will O Way looks capable of parlaying a front-running trip into a

victory under Joel Rosario.

TORO BONITO (El Corredor) exits a third-place showing in the Hollywood

Starlet (G1) that may be good enough to win here. Trained by Bob Baffert, the

dark bay lass has recorded three consecutive stakes placings and definitely owns

the BRIS numbers to compete for the win here. The late runner must overcome the

far outside post and the possibility of a slow pace, but Toro Bonito remains

eligible to run past her rivals in the stretch.

JEMMEALEY (Malibu Moon) will make her first start for Baffert after breaking

her maiden at Meadowlands last time out for Bill Mott. The Zayat Stables

colorbearer drew off like a good thing when winning by a 3 1/2-length margin, and

the runner-up that evening, Katara (Pulpit), easily captured a maiden special

weight at Calder in her following appearance. The chestnut miss has never

started on a synthetic track, but Jemmealey may have the talent to make her

presence felt in her stakes debut.

DAVE'S REVENGE (The Cliff's Edge) offered a big run to just miss third in the

Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1), finishing fourth in just her second career

start, but she regressed off that effort when logging a fifth at short odds in

the Hollywood Starlet. The Bob Hess pupil is probably capable of much better

here, but the confirmed closer must avoid leaving herself too much to do in the

stretch.

LADY LUMBERJACK (Forestry) has turned in two respectable showings for Julio

Canani and won't face the toughest company, but the maiden had no excuses in

her last outing and will be stretching out to two turns for the first time

on Sunday. We can't dismiss her from exotics consideration, but we'll be

surprised to see her challenge for the win.

CENTURY PARK (General Meeting) will return to a synthetic track for Baffert,

but we would've liked to have seen more from her last time when ninth in the

grassy Miesque S. (G3). The 1 1/16-mile distance looks like a good fit for the

Florida-bred, but we'll go against the maiden winner. ACTING LADY (Theatrical

[Ire]) will go turf to synthetic for Doug O'Neill, but she didn't show enough in the

Blue Norther S. last time for us to recommend her chances.

HAKA (Dynaformer) steps up in class off an easy score in an off-the-turf

maiden special weight event, and we don't think she beat much last time. The

Christophe Clement trainee earned only an 85 Speed rating, and we'll watch to see

how she handles her first start against winners. CRAZY TRICIA (Momentum) faces a

serious class hike off a win over $32,000 maiden claimers.
