Mass Media rolls in Sport Page

Gary and Mary West's MASS MEDIA (Touch Gold) stalked quick

splits of :22 1/5 and :44 3/5 for the opening half-mile, took

command at the head of the stretch, and rolled home to an

impressive 3 1/2-length win in the $111,200 Sport Page H. (G3) at

Aqueduct on Sunday. Trained by Bobby Frankel and piloted by

Javier Castellano, the sophomore colt stopped the timer in a

snappy 1:21 for seven fast track furlongs in earning his second

consecutive stakes tilt. The dark bay was sent off at 8-1 and

gave back $18.60, $9 and $5.40 while keying the $127.50 exacta

and $352 trifecta.

Lion Tamer (Will's Way) put in a belated late run for the

place spot, good for $7.20 and $4 at 4-1. Gygistar, the 2-1

choice, garnered show honors and paid $2.80. It was another nose

back to 3-1 second choice Voodoo (Petionville), who was trailed

by Personal Touch (Twining), Super Fuse (Lite The Fuse),

Eavesdropper (Kingmambo), Conservation (Tamayaz) and Tomahawk (Seattle

Slew).

Mass Media moved his mark to 7-5-0-0 with earnings of $161,550

in the process. The colt captured the Fly So Free S. in his

latest venture.

Bred in the Bluegrass State by Live Oak Stud, the winner was

purchased at the 2002 Keeneland September Yearling Sale for $65,000.

He is the second registered foal out of the winning Sultry Allure

(Forty Niner), and has an unraced two-year-old half-sister named

Mary (Cat Thief).
