Street Sense season highlights TCA auction

A season to Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Street Sense highlights the 18th

annual Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) Stallion Season and Art Auction

on Friday at the Keeneland Entertainment Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Darley

America also donated seasons to Grade 1 winners Hard Spun, Discreet Cat and Any

Given Saturday who,

along with Street Sense, will enter stud in 2008.

In addition, the live auction includes seasons to such notable stallions as Bluegrass Cat, Corinthian, Dynaformer, El Prado (Ire), English

Channel, Ghostzapper, Harlan's Holiday, Henny Hughes, Lawyer Ron, Mr. Greeley,

Scat Daddy, Speightstown, and Unbridled's Song.

Moreover, the live auction will include an original work of art by Andre Pater, his and her Porsches, a trip to Dubai for the Dubai World Cup (UAE-G1),

and the eighth-pole from Keeneland. Immediately preceding the live auction, the

silent auction will feature a large selection of art, vacation trips, and

interesting memorabilia.

The telephone segment of the stallion season auction began Monday and concludes at

The TCA, which has been described as the "United Way" of the Thoroughbred

industry, raises money for the rescue, rehabilitation and retirement of

racehorses. In addition, TCA supports equine research and organizations that

help people who work with Thoroughbreds.
