TicketResell available for Breeders' Cup

Last updated: 6/29/15 3:53 PM

The Breeders' Cup Monday announced the return of TicketResell by SeatAdvisor, a

ticketing feature that provides ticketholders more flexibility and security when

selling and purchasing tickets for the Breeders' Cup World Championships.

TicketResell is an online tool that allows patrons to resell tickets they can no

longer use back to the Breeders' Cup primary ticket inventory. The Breeders'

Cup, Thoroughbred racing's premier international event, will be held at

Keeneland Race Course in Lexington on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October

31.

TicketResell was developed by SeatAdvisor, Inc., a global ticketing software

company and the official box office software provider of the Breeders' Cup World

Championships since 2008. This is the third consecutive year that the

TicketResell program has been made available to Breeders' Cup patrons. With

TicketResell, if patrons are no longer able to attend the event, they are now

able to resell event tickets directly through their online account held with the

Breeders' Cup. A desired resell price is set by the seller, and tickets are then

added to the accessible inventory and made available for buyers.

All transactions are 100 percent secured and guaranteed by Breeders' Cup,

unlike other secondary market resellers. Upon being sold, patrons are able to

recoup the original cost of the tickets minus a minimal servicing fee.

"We understand that even after purchasing tickets some of our guests may not

be able to attend, and other patrons may wish to purchase tickets for a section

that is currently sold out," said Breeders' Cup President and CEO Craig Fravel.

"TicketResell provides fans with a reasonable market for tickets in a secure

location, which removes the risk of counterfeiting."

"TicketResell was engineered to equip our clients with the ability to

securely assist patrons that can no longer use their tickets to an event," said

Brent Miller, CEO of SeatAdvisor, Inc. "We are thrilled by the success Breeders'

Cup has demonstrated using the feature over the past several years, as it

reflects our mission to aide venues of all kinds in providing superior customer

service to ticket buyers."

In addition to being more convenient and safe for patrons, the TicketResell technology

helps the Breeders' Cup better manage ticket inventory. The event will also be

more accessible as tickets that may go unused can be resold.

Fans interested selling their Breeders' Cup tickets or purchasing resold

inventory through TicketResell may call 859-514-9428, M-F, 9-5 p.m. (EDT);

email bctickets@breederscup.com or on the web at www.breederscup.com/tickets

SeatAdvisor, Inc. works with more than 3,000 venues in the arts and sports

market throughout the U.S., Australia, Europe, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia,

Mexico and Caribbean.  In addition to the Breeders' Cup, an impressive

roster of North American horse racing venues utilize SeatAdvisor's box office

software including Churchill Downs, Del Mar Thoroughbred Club and Arlington Park

to name a few.
