A large field of turf distaffers will go one mile on the turf in Sunday's

Tuzla H. (G3) at Santa Anita. GOTTA HAVE HER (Royal Academy) had no chance to

hold off Vacare (Lear Fan) in the Dahlia H. (G2) last out for Jenine Sahadi, but

as we said last time, this one will eventually break through at this level. The

talented bay has been within two lengths of a win in her last three Grade 2

tests, has good positional speed and can also rate, and is a two-time winner

over this lawn. We'll give the five-year-old one more chance as our top pick.

BAHAMA MAMA (Ire) (Invincible Spirit) is the speed of this speedy field, and

the James Cassidy trainee will be the one to catch turning for home under David

Flores. We've always liked this mare quite a bit and she is consistently fast,

but she remains a liability at the one-mile trip. We still envision the bay

running a big one before being caught late.

TROUBLE MAKER (Labeeb [GB]) showed little in her West Coast debut in her

initial try for Jay Robbins last out, and the back class of the bay leads us to

believe that she will improve a great deal on this day. The Maryland-bred has

useful tactical speed and possesses a solid late run, and we view her as a top

three threat under Victor Espinoza.

Grade 1 heroine MAGICAL FANTASY (Diesis [GB]) comes off a good fourth in the

Matriarch S. (G1) and should appreciate the drop in class with this field. The

Paddy Gallagher charge is a big closer with very little early speed, but we

expect a fast pace which should aid her closing kick. The chestnut has not

defined herself as a miler or a stayer to date, but we'd prefer to her see

encounter more ground to run her best. Despite the wide draw, the four-year-old

is an obvious exotics player under Alex Solis.

FOXYSOX (GB) (Foxhound) loves this course, winning in four of her eight

starts on this sod, and the Carla Gaines trainee will be guided by top jock

Rafael Bejarano in this deep field. The chestnut has been to the window just

once since December of 2006, but she's a nifty 5-4-0-0 at this trip and we

expect her to be there late at a decent price. KYNISKA (Ire) (Choisir) has won both of her starts since coming from Europe

to Bobby Frankel this year, and the bay is an intriguing contender in here.

Grade 3-placed as a sophomore, the bay has displayed a nice turn of foot

in the United States while topping two fields that may not have been all that strong.

Nonetheless, we like her progression and we'll use her in all of our exotics.

YOU LIFT ME UP (Lord Carson) has turned out be yet another prosperous claim

for Jerry Hollendorfer, as the dark bay has finished first or second in five of

her seven tries since, including annexing two stakes affairs along the way. The California-bred

filly should be in the mix early, and, if she endures a smart trip under Mike

Smith, in the mix late as well. SPRUNG (Grand Slam) was a good second in the Dance Smartly S. (Can-G2) last

summer and put in a good late effort in a perfect prep for this run, but the

best we see this dark bay doing is finishing off some gimmicks under Patrick

Husbands.

STORYBOOK (UAE) (Halling) has failed to win in her previous two allowance

engagements and has yet to prove that she is capable of taking a race of this

nature. With that said, it's not always wise to dismiss Sadler and Garrett Gomez when

they pair up, so we'll put this one in our gimmick plays. I CAN SEE (Flying Chevron) appears to put in big runs when we least expect

it, so we'll use this one some on the bottom of our plays.

SANTA TERESITA (Lemon

Drop Kid) had a nice campaign last year, taking the Santa Lucia H. and finishing

second in the Milady H. (G2) and Hawthorne H. (G3), and was last seen finishing

seventh in the Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic (G1) for Eric Guillot. The bay mare

is a solid synthetic performer who appeared to be on her way to big things in

2009, but we're very confused why this spot was picked for her seasonal debut.

We'll let the five-year-old beat us under Mike Baze. CHARMING LEGACY (Ire) (Danehill) returned from an absence of more than a year

to top a solid allowance cast over this course last out for Ron McAnally, but it

would be hard for us to envision the bay doing the same in such a deep field.

GAMBLER'S JUSTICE (Lit de Justice) was unplaced in her lone turf try and

looks overmatched against these.

DAWN AFTER DAWN (Successful Appeal) ran in Saturday's Sunshine Millions

Distaff.
