outing when annexing the $125,000

on Friday over Keeneland's

yielding turf course.

Sent off as the 2-5 favorite, the Pat Biancone

trainee settled near the back of the pack as Stavinsky's Gal (Stravinsky) opened

the 1 1/16-mile affair in fractions of :24, :48 1/5 and 1:13 2/5. The pacesetter weakened approaching the final quarter and the lead was

briefly taken by Elle Runaway

(El Prado [Ire]), but she failed to hold on as Asi Siempre and Dynamite Lass

(Dynaformer) came on late, bidding for the top spot in the middle of the course.

After the photo, it was Asi Siempre who managed to hold on by a nose, completing

eight and a half furlongs in 1:45 1/5 under jockey Gary Stevens to pay $2.80, $2.40

and $2.10. Exotics returned $17.40 (exacta), $54.80 (trifecta) and $428.40 for

the 1-2-5-6 superfecta.

Victory Lap returned $6.40 and $3.80 for the place at 10-1 while Victory Lap

(Touch Gold) came home another 1 3/4 lengths farther back in third to give

$3.20. Elle Runaway, Beat the Band (Lord Avie), Stavinsky's Gal, Sunny

Disposition (Cozzene), Insan Mala (Ire) (Bahhare) and Steel Buns (A.P. Indy)

completed the order of finish. Bold Passage (Stormy Atlantic) and Golden Locket

(Storm Creek) were scratched from the race.

Bred in Kentucky by Almagro de Activiades Commerciales SA, the sophomore miss

is out of the Silver Hawk mare Siempre Asi, and is a half-sister to an unnamed

yearling colt by Distant View and an unnamed weanling by Langfuhr. Asi Siempre

is a listed winner in France finished a solid second in the Garden City Breeders' Cup S.

(G1) while making her U.S. debut in September. This victory increases her record to 9-4-2-1 with earnings of $231,458.
