Three-year-old fillies are featured in a pair of $150,000 events at

Gulfstream Park Sunday, the 1 1/8-mile Bonnie Miss S. (G2) and seven-furlong

Forward Gal S. (G2). WAIT A WHILE (Maria's Mon), a commanding 14-length heroine

of the Davona Dale S. (G2), highlights the Bonnie Miss, and Arlington-Washington

Breeders' Cup Lassie S. (G3) winner and Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) third ORIGINAL

SPIN (Distorted Humor) will make her seasonal bow in the latter.

Trained by Todd Pletcher, Wait a While has captured two of three stakes

starts, the lone setback being a third-place finish to WONDER LADY ANNE L (Real

Quiet) in November's Demoiselle S. (G2) at Aqueduct. She gained a measure of

revenge when dominating her rival in the Bonnie Miss, and John Velazquez will

ride the likely favorite.

The Bonnie Miss did come over a wet track, and Wonder Lady Anne L could show

more if the track is fast Sunday. Another top contender is FRENCH PARK (Ecton

Park), winner of the Golden Rod S. (G2) and Pocahontas S. (G3) at Churchill

Downs last fall for Helen Pitts. The gray filly exits a head second in the

Silverbulletday S. (G3) and will be reunited with rider Mark Guidry.

The seven Bonnie Miss runners, in post position order with jockeys, is SMART

N PRETTY (Elusive Quality), Rafael Bejarano; TEAMMATE (A.P. Indy), Cornelio

Velasquez; Wonder Lady Anne L, Edgar Prado; MIA'S REFLECTION (Halo's Image),

Manoel Cruz; French Park; BETTER NOW (Thunder Gulch), Javier Castellano; and

Wait a While.

Two races later, Original Spin will square off against 10 opponents in the

Forward Gal. The Anthony Mitchell-trained miss brings a 3-2-0-1 mark into the

race. Her main challengers include INDIA (Hennessy), a sharp 3 3/4-length

allowance winner in her three-year-old return for Pletcher; MISTY ROSETTE (Stormin

Fever), who remained unbeaten with a facile victory in the Old Hat S. (G3) last

out; Sunshine Millions Oaks winner JOINT EFFORT (Runaway Groom); and the Bill

Mott-trained SWEET FERVOR (Seeking the Gold), who improved to two for two with a

seven-length tally in Tampa Bay's Gasparilla S. on January 21.

From the rail, the Forward Gal participants are A SEA TRIPPI (Trippi), Mike

Smith; MIRACULOUS MISS (Mr. Greeley), Jeremy Rose; Misty Rosette, Sebastian

Madrid; VESTREY LADY (Vicar), Shaun Bridgmohan; LAKE ALICE (Mt. Livermore),

Kristi Chapman; Original Spin, Rene Douglas; India, Velazquez; Joint Effort,

Guidry; MISS SHOP (Deputy Minister), Velasquez; Sweet Fervor, Prado; and WIN

MCCOOL (Giant's Causeway), Bejarano.
