Wilson injured at Fair Grounds
Jockey Emma-Jayne Wilson was injured after being unseated from her mount,
Sweetening (Menifee), in Monday's 9TH race at Fair Grounds. According to on-track EMS staff,
she was complaining of pain in her lower right leg and right ribcage. She was taken to
Tulane Medical Center in downtown New Orleans.
Wilson, who won the 2005 Eclipse Award for outstanding apprentice jockey, is
riding at Fair Grounds for the first time this season.
