Yearly Report faces 12 in La Brea

Delaware Oaks (G2) and Black-Eyed Susan S. (G2) winner YEARLY REPORT (General

Meeting) will seek to cap her sophomore season with her first Grade 1 score in

Monday's $250,000 La Brea S. at Santa Anita. The seven-furlong test, which is

the first of three legs of the La Canada series for four-year-old distaffers of

2005, has attracted a field of 13.

Jerry Bailey rides the Bob Baffert-trained Yearly Report, who carries top

weight of 123 pounds and will break from post 11. Her challengers include Del

Mar Oaks (G1) winner AMORAMA (Fr) (Sri Pekan), who will be making her dirt debut

for conditioner Julio Canani; multiple Grade 2 queen BENDING STRINGS (American

Chance), who has shipped west for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin; and Grade 3 heroine

SUSAN'S ANGEL (Cape Town), who exits a runner-up finish in the Falls City H.

(G2) at Churchill Downs.

Stakes-placed COSTUME DESIGNER (Capote), who exits a two-length turf

allowance romp at Hollywood Park, breaks from the rail under a 115-pound impost,

which includes jockey Jon Court. To their outside in the starting gate are SWEET
