Miraculous Miss circles the field in Endine

Puglisi Stables and Steve Klesaris' MIRACULOUS MISS (Mr. Greeley) made a smashing return to the races when closing like a freight train to capture the $200,900 Endine H. (G3) at Delaware by 1 1/2 lengths on Saturday. Breaking slowly and sitting at the back for the opening half-mile, the Klesaris pupil commenced her run as the field approached the turn for home and it was over once she got into gear under Ramon Dominguez, passing horses as if they were standing still. The three-year-old completed the six panels over the fast track in 1:09 4/5 and paid $6.60, $3.60 and $4.20 as the 2-1 second choice.

Gilded Gold (Gilded Time) spurted out of the gate and led to midstretch but could not stop the winner late, ultimately settling for the place at 19-1. The runner-up completed the healthy $106.60 exacta while paying $11.60 and $7.80. Coli Bear (Formal Dinner), who was coupled with the winner, gained the show another half-length back to return $6.60, $3.60 and $4.20. Thats Our Song (Thats Our Buck) finished fourth and completed the $615.60 trifecta (1-6-7) at 17-1. Ebony Breeze (Belong to Me) was next and followed by Miss Elsie (Golden Gear), Hello Liberty (Forest Camp) and Hot Storm (Stormy Atlantic). Annika Lass (Mister Jolie) was scratched.

Miraculous Miss was making her first start since April of this year, and earned her sixth win from seven lifetime outings. The chestnut owns scores in the Comely S. (G2), Forward Gal S. (G2) and Valley Stream S. (G3), sporting a career line that reads 7-6-0-0, $417,120.

Bred in the Bluegrass State by Dr. Akijiro O'Hara, the winner fetched a bid of $350,000 at the 2005 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale. She is out of the winning Silver Deputy mare No Small Miracle and counts as half-brothers multiple Grade 1-placed Tiger Heart (Scatmandu) and an unnamed two-year-old colt by Royal Academy.
