Keith Abrams' GET FUNKY (Straight Man) pressed the early pace in Saturday's $110,000 Morvich H. (G3) at Oak Tree before getting his neck in front on the line to take the 6 1/2-furlong turf event under Martin Garcia. The John Sadler-trained four-year-old stopped the clock in 1:13 1/5 over Santa Anita's firm turf to move his line to 13-5-1-2 and increase his earnings to $500,438. Winner of last year's Del Mar Derby (G2), the dark bay entered this event off a fourth in the Oak Tree Mile (G2) and a close second in the Shoemaker Breeders' Cup Mile (G1).
