Isotherm arrives late to take Pilgrim

Isotherm (Lonhro) ran his turf record to two-for-two with a come-from-behind score in Saturday's $200,000 Pilgrim (G3) at Belmont Park.

A maiden winner at Saratoga in his previous start, the 9-1 chance advanced from eighth around the turn, avoided trouble near the eighth pole, and got up to beat Azar (Scat Daddy) by a neck. In doing so, the George Weaver trainee punched a ticket to next month's Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (G1) at Keeneland.
