Rock Fall fights back late to take Vosburgh

Rock Fall (Speightstown) likely sewed up favoritism for next month's $1.5 million TwinSpires.com Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) with a game victory Saturday in the $400,000 Vosburgh (G1) at Belmont Park.

Under Javier Castellano, the Todd Pletcher-trained colt fought back to regain the lead from Stallwalkin' Dude (City Place) in deep stretch and then held off a late bid from Salutos Amigos (Salute the Sarge) to win for the seventh straight time in eight career outings. The son of champion and 2004 Sprint winner Speightstown is now undefeated in three career stakes appearances.
