Songbird stays perfect in Chandelier

Fox Hill Farms' Songbird moved her record to a perfect three-for-three with a front-running 4 1/2-length score in Saturday's $300,750 Chandelier S. (G1) at Santa Anita Park.

The Jerry Hollendorfer-trained juvenile miss took command soon after the start and easily drew off to finish 1 1/16 miles in 1:43.79, eclipsing the 1:44.89 time posted by Nyquist for the same distance a few races earlier in the FrontRunner S. (G1).

Songbird, who debuted at Del Mar a 6 1/2-length winner before taking the Del Mar Debutante S. (G1) last out by 5 1/4 lengths, is now headed to the October 31 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) at Keeneland thanks to the Chandelier being part of the "Win & You're In" Challenge series.
