Undefeated CARACORTADO (Cat Dreams), hero of the California Breeders' Champion S. last out, traveled in 1:00 3/5 in advance of the Lewis.

The unbeaten TIZ CHROME (Tiznow), who could go in either the Lewis or in Monday's Southwest S. (G3) at Oaklawn, blitzed in :59 3/5. The powerfully-built bay is coming off a score in the Stuka S. in his first start for Bob Baffert.
