Grey Goose signs multi-year sponsorship agreement with Breeders' Cup

The Breeders' Cup and Grey Goose, "The World's Best Tasting Vodka," announced Tuesday a three-year agreement increasing the global marketing presence of Grey Goose Vodka as a premier sponsor and official spirit of the Breeders' Cup World Championships.

As a premier sponsor, Grey Goose will participate in the highest level of sponsorship for the Breeders' Cup. The 2010 Breeders' Cup World Championships, consisting of 14 races and $26 million in purses, will be held at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky, on November 5-6, and will be televised live on ABC/ESPN and in more than 120 countries.

Among the major points of the agreement:

* Grey Goose Vodka will continue as the title sponsor of two Breeders' Cup World Championships races: the $2 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) and the $2 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1).
* Grey Goose commercials will air during the live coverage of the ESPN and ESPN2 telecasts of the World Championships.
* Grey Goose will also have a prominent media presence in the four "Breeders' Cup Challenge" telecasts on ESPN in October, including commercial time and in-show elements and billboards leading to the Championships.
* As the official spirit of the Breeders' Cup, Grey Goose products will be prominently featured at all official events of the World Championships and at official hotels and hospitality areas during Breeders' Cup week.
* Grey Goose will also be the official sponsor of the GREY GOOSE VIP Winner's Circle Celebration party at the brand new KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, which will feature a live concert. Grey Goose will also be the official presenting sponsor of the Breeders' Cup Post Race reception at the Louisville Downtown Marriott.
* Grey Goose "Down the Stretch," which is the official drink of the Breeders' Cup, will be served at Churchill Downs during the Breeders' Cup and at local Louisville establishments in the weeks leading to the Championships as a part of Grey Goose promotional activations.

"As a premier international luxury brand, Grey Goose has been a perfect marketing sponsor for the Breeders’ Cup," said Carter Carnegie, Breeders' Cup senior vice president of business development. "Grey Goose has established an impeccable reputation as a global leader in sports and entertainment sponsorship, and we are excited by their expanded commitment to our Championships."

Grey Goose Vodka has been an official Breeders' Cup sponsor since 2005.

"We are excited to continue this successful relationship between Grey Goose and the Breeders' Cup," said Shane M. Graber, vice president and managing director of Grey Goose Vodka. "The Breeders' Cup World Championships aligns perfectly with the Grey Goose brand because it signifies the very best of both the sport and lifestyle of Thoroughbred racing and provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy a Grey Goose Down the Stretch cocktail."
