TRACK BANDIT PREVIEWS
Eleven females will square off in the grassy Valley View S. (G3) at Keeneland, and rain is forecasted for Friday in Lexington, Kentucky. DYNAMITE LASS (Dynaformer) has won over yielding ground before, and we'll give her a slight edge in the 1 1/16-mile affair. Trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, Dynamite Lass finished a close second in the Herecomesthebride S. (G3) at Gulfstream Park but tailed off during the summer in stakes events. She was freshened in early July and returned to the races at Saratoga with a nice allowance score over a good field in mid-August. The dark bay rallied off a slow pace to finish a commendable third in the Martha Washington Breeders' Cup S. last out at Laurel Park, beaten only two lengths by Sweet Talker (Stormin Fever), who returned to win the Queen Elizabeth II Invitational Challenge Cup (G1) in her next outing. Dynamite Lass favors 8 1/2 furlongs and is a threat to keep improving with a victory here. ASI SIEMPRE (El Prado [Ire]) is the 4-5 favorite on the morning line and exits a sharp 1 1/4-length allowance win at Keeneland. Group 3-placed in Europe, the Pat Biancone-trained lass made her U.S. bow two starts back in the Garden City Breeders' Cup S. (G1) two starts back at Belmont and finished second behind Luas Line (Ire) (Danehill). Asi Siempre obviously has plenty of class and looms as a top contender on Friday. VICTORY LAP (Touch Gold) finished fourth as the favorite in the Martha Washington and third in the Lake Placid S. (G2) two starts back. A stakes winner at Louisiana Downs, the Robert Barbara trainee owns a fine turn of foot and some natural speed. She should be forwardly placed from the start under Robby Albarado and could prove to be a factor throughout. INSAN MALA (Ire) (Bahhare) captured the Tenski S. two starts back at Saratoga and owns a fine late kick, recording BRIS Late Pace ratings as high as 110. The Christophe Clement trainee owns a 3-2-0-1 mark at the distance and merits serious consideration for the exotics. ELLE RUNAWAY (El Prado [Ire]) ships in from Canada with respectable turf form and owns some appeal for the gimmicks at long odds. We have some class concerns with the bay filly, but are encouraged by her recent form. GOLDEN LOCKET (Storm Creek) is another possibility for part at a price. Trained by Victoria Oliver, the stakes-winning filly could offer a solid rally from the off the pace if she takes to the course in her turf debut. SUNNY DISPOSITION (Cozzene) finished second to Asi Siempre last time, but she got away with a slow pace and might face too much pressure up front to be effective here. STEEL BUNS (A.P. Indy) steps up off an entry level allowance win for Bill Mott and has earned lower Speed figures so far in her career. We'll just watch to see how she fares in her stakes debut. BEAT THE BAND (Lord Avie) owns some promise on the grass, but she drew a tough outside post and may be facing too much of a class hike. BOLD PASSAGE (Stormy Atlantic) is difficult to recommend from the far outside. STAVINSKY'S GAL (Stravinsky) will likely add to the pace but doesn't figure to sustain her speed.
