TRACK BANDIT PREVIEWS

OUR NAUTIQUE (NZ) (Pins) will attempt to extend his winning streak to three

when he makes his U.S. stakes bow in the $100,000 All American S. (G3) at Golden

Gate Fields. The Jerry Hollendorfer-trained gelding exits a convincing

wire-to-wire score over the Tapeta and looks like the controlling speed in

Friday's 1 1/8-mile event. The five-year-old has recorded commendable 95 BRIS

Speed ratings in his last two wins and will retain the services of regular rider

Leslie Mawing. We'll pick him wire-to-wire.

CIGAR MAN (Drewman) finished a good second to Bold Chieftain (Chief Seattle)

in the San Quentin S. at Golden Gate Fields last November and looms as an upset

candidate here for Vladimir Cerin. The five-year-old gelding's last start over

the dirt at Fairplex Park is a throwout and he defeated a solid group of

allowance/optional-claiming rivals two starts back at Del Mar. We also like the

addition of local jockey Juan Hernandez.

MASSONE (Menifee) will be looking to turn the tables after finishing second

to Our Nautique as the even-money favorite last time. The four-year-old colt

hasn't turned in a bad effort in his last four starts and owns the BRIS numbers

to challenge for the win, but he is winless in six attempts at the distance.

We'll try to beat him for the win but will definitely use the Steve Specht

runner in the exotics.

HOT CHACO (Unusual Heat) owns a solid late turn of foot but will be trying

nine furlongs for the first time. The stalker hasn't won in two starts on

all-weather tracks, but he remains a logical threat to contend for a top three

placing with further improvement.

SLEW THE MAN (Slewdledo) owns good tactical speed but hasn't shown enough in

his all-weather starts for us to recommend his chances here. SARATOGA BOOT

(Storm Boot) has been an honest performer on dirt, but he didn't run well when

trying the Tapeta last out and would be a surprise here. AUTISM AWARENESS

Tannersmyman) doesn't look fast enough to challenge at this level.

INTERPATATION (Langfuhr) has been overmatched in all seven starts this season

on the East Coast, mostly against Grade 1 foes, but he's been transferred to the

care of Jeffrey Metz and will cut back in trip and try an all-weather track on

Friday. He isn't very well-rested. The eighth-year-old gelding raced three times

in October and hasn't been given much time to recuperate off a non-threatening

sixth versus allowance/optional claiming rivals on October 29. The Grade 1

winner looks like a good bet-against.
