TRACK BANDIT PREVIEWS

Saturday's $250,000 Azalea S. (G3) kicks off the four-race Summit of Speed at

Calder, and unbeaten INDYANNE (Indian Charlie) figures to be a heavy favorite

while making her graded debut in the six-furlong event for sophomore fillies. A

$375,000 two-year-old in training purchase, the gray lass is three-for-three for

trainer Greg Gilchrist, breaking her maiden by 10 lengths at Bay Meadows last

August before rolling to a six-length score in the Bay Meadows Debutante S. She

opened this campaign with a superb seven-length trouncing over

allowance/optional claiming winners at Golden Gate Fields, and we'll look for

another front-running victory from the extremely promising filly.

ORINOQUIA (Whywhywhy) is four-for-seven over the track, winning the Leave Me

Alone S. and Harmony Lodge S. in her last two outings, and she'll be running

late here. The Rodolfo Garcia trainee won't offer any value in the exotics, but

she owns the best chance for an upset if the top pick falters.

GRAND OBSESSION (Shore Breeze) rallied for a narrow win in the 4 1/2-furlong

Lady Charles Town S. last out, and the Eddie Kenneally runner held her own

versus allowance rivals at Gulfstream earlier this year. She's in good form,

winning her last two outings, and will receive a rider switch to Edgar Prado. A

top-three placing appears within her grasp.

Former claimer DUBAI MAJESTY (Essence of Dubai) will enter on the upswing for

Joseph Calascibetta, winning her last two outings at Calder, and she's three-for-six

on Calder's main track. The dark bay miss figures to be rallying late, and she

merits consideration for the top three.

DITE MOI (Forest Wildcat) has been able to win both career starts on the

front end versus lesser rivals at Calder, but she'll be forced to rate for the

first time on Saturday.

Canadian shipper DANCING ALLSTAR (Millennium Allstar) is a confirmed front

runner, but we question whether she's quick enough to keep up with Indyanne and

others. FREEDOM AFLEET (Northern Afleet) could find this company too difficult.
