Ballydoyle floods Irish Champion entries

Last updated: 9/1/08 6:26 PM

DUKE OF MARMALADE (Danehill) heads a quintet of Ballydoyle entries for

Saturday's Irish Champion S. (Ire-G1). While the five-time Group 1 winner is

likely to be the main representative, Aidan O'Brien also left in

HENRYTHENAVIGATOR (Kingmambo) at Monday's five-day stage. Jim Bolger is

preparing Epsom Derby (Eng-G1) hero NEW APPROACH (Galileo [Ire]), third in last

Saturday's Juddmonte International (Eng-G1) at Newmarket behind Duke of

Marmalade, and Henry Cecil could saddle the Rose of Lancaster S. (Eng-G3) winner

MULTIDIMENSIONAL (Danehill).

"At the moment, it is quite possible (Multidimensional) will run -- the

ground won't be firm in Ireland," the Niarchos family's Racing Manager Alan

Cooper told PA Sport. "A final decision will be made on Thursday, but I think

Henry Cecil would like to run if conditions are suitable."

Kevin Prendergast has left in the Ballyroan S. (Ire-G3) scorer MORES WELLS

(Sadler's Wells).

"We left him in the race and I will have a look at it later in the week and

see how it looks," Prendergast told PA Sport. "Obviously, it looks very hot, and

I was planning to run him in the Irish St Leger (Ire-G1) a week later, but the

owner pays the bills. He won nicely at Leopardstown last time over a mile and a

half and was always traveling well. He has won over a mile and quarter a couple

of times, though, and has plenty of pace, so the trip is not really a concern."
