Sovereignty burnished his Kentucky Derby (G1) credentials in the Fountain of Youth (G2) at Gulfstream Park.

The form of the Remsen (G2) has been flattered on a regular basis since it was run in early December. The winner of that race, Dornoch, might continue the trend in his season reappearance Saturday in the $400,000 Fountain of Youth (G2) at Gulfstream Park.

After a troubled runner-up in the Holy Bull (G3), Simplification rebounded with a 3 1/2-length victory in Saturday’s Fountain of Youth (G2), an 85-point qualifier for the Kentucky Derby. Gulfstream Park also offered the $200,000 Davona Dale (G2), a Road to the Kentucky Oaks series qualifier, and Kathleen O. proved much the best.

The $400,000 Fountain of Youth (G2) runneth over with high-profile Kentucky Derby (G1) hopefuls, making it the most eagerly anticipated event on a banner Saturday at Gulfstream Park.
