Don Six, Gators N Bears lead General George

DON SIX (Wild Escapade) and GATORS N BEARS (Stormy Atlantic) have been

assigned the

highweight of 118 pounds for Monday's $200,000 General George H. (G2) at Laurel Park in a field of

nine. Don Six closed out 2004 with a win in the Gravesend H. (G3) in his first

run for conditioner Scott Lake and opened up the new year with another

resounding victory in the Paumonok H. at Aqueduct. Both races were at six

furlongs and he will stretch out a furlong here under Michael Luzzi.

Grade 3 winner Gators N Bears returns to familiar territory

with a 9-4-2-3 mark at the Maryland track. The Leo Nechamkin trainee finished

second last out to Don Six and fourth to the dark bay the race prior. Jockey

Ramon Dominguez will pilot the bay veteran. SARATOGA COUNTY (Valid Expectations)

has captured his last two and comes into the General George looking to

challenge. He comes off a hard-closing effort in the Mr. Prospector H. (G3)

under Monday's jockey Javier Castellano.

TASTE OF PARADISE (Conquistador Cielo) drew the inside spot under Jose Valdivia

Jr. with 117 pounds. To the outside will be Gators N Bears; NEW YORK HERO (Partner's

Hero), Ryan Fogelsonger, 114; Saratoga County, 114; UNFORGETTABLE MAX (Northern

Afleet), Harry Vega, 115; Don Six; BOCCA AL LUPO (Grand Slam), Mario Pino, 113;

HOUSTON'S PRAYER (Houston), Timothy Thornton, 114; and PRIVATE HORDE

(Brunswick), Rodney Prescott, 116.
