The one-two-three finishers of the Wood Memorial S. (G1), NOBIZ LIKE SHOBIZ

(Albert the Great), SIGHTSEEING (Pulpit) and ANY GIVEN SATURDAY (Distorted

Humor), will line-up to contest the $150,000 Dwyer S. (G2) at Belmont Park on

Wednesday. Although we envision the same three sophomores taking up the top

three slots of the trifecta, we see a different order.

Any Given Saturday was last seen finishing eighth in the

Kentucky Derby (G1), but the finish doesn't tell the whole story. Traveling

extremely wide from the 18 post, the dark bay was in excellent striking position

all the way to midstretch before faltering in what was a good performance for

the Todd Pletcher trainee. The talented colt has been freshened since and

enters this off a bullet half-mile in :47 3/5 over this surface, leading us to

believe that his best is yet to come. John Velazquez will ride the colt, who is

overdue for a stakes win.

Nobiz Like Shobiz ran two excellent races over this surface to begin his

career and returns to his home base for conditioner Barclay Tagg. The strapping

bay Grade 1 winner also ran a useful race in the Derby before tiring late, and

should return to his best form following his time off leading up to this.

Equipped with an abundance of early foot, expect the Kentucky-bred to be

forwardly placed and possibly get first run entering the stretch. A win by the

likely favorite would be far from a shock, but we'll try to beat him in this

spot.

Sightseeing closed well to finish second in the Wood, and gamely captured the

Peter Pan S. (G2) most recently for Shug McGaughey. The well-bred colt has been

on the steady improve since the beginning of this campaign and is perfect from

two starts over this going, but we feel that he could be a little overbet in

this spot. The addition of blinkers may have the late runner a touch closer to

the early pace, but we still think he'll be out-moved in this one turn fray.

Edgar Prado will ride the colt.

FIRST DEFENCE (Unbridled's Song) owns two career wins, both over this oval,

but lacks the seasoning of his main rivals. The Bobby Frankel charge is loaded

with talent and appears to have a bright future, but the bay may find this field

too much at this stage of his career. Regular rider Javier Castellano retains

the mount.

HELSINKI (Distorted Humor) beat lesser foes with relative ease in his last

pair and now gets his first acid test for trainer Nick Zito. The dark bay has moved forward

following an unplaced debut and has posted admirable BRIS Speed numbers, though he

looks a cut below the best in here. Corey Nakatani will pilot the colt.

BELIEVEINMENOW (Tiznow) ran his best race to date most recently, when

dominating an allowance group for conditioner James Bond. The Florida-bred colt

has been among the lead in his three wins, one of which was in claiming ranks,

but we think the colt may be outrun early with these. We can't endorse the

likely longshot.
