Evenly matched group set for Suburban

Clark H. (G2) winner A. P. ARROW (A.P. Indy) will make his first start back

in Saturday's $400,000 Suburban H. (G1) since finishing fourth behind Curlin

(Smart Strike) in the March 29 Dubai World Cup (UAE-G1), and the Todd

Pletcher-trained horse won't find any rivals anywhere near as imposing as the

Horse of the Year. The six-year-old chestnut is the 118-pound highweight and

will face seven rivals from the rail with regular rider Ramon Dominguez.

RISING MOON (Runaway Groom) will bring a four-race winning skein into the 1

1/4-mile event. Trained by Rick Dutrow, the five-year-old gray exits a

four-length romp in a May 30 allowance/optional claiming event, his first start

since easily winning the Wagon Limit S. 12 months earlier. Four-for-six overall,

Rising Moon will make his graded debut under the returning Cornelio Velasquez.

Dutrow is also responsible for multiple Irish Group 3 victor FROST GIANT

(Giant's Causeway), who is seeking his first U.S. stakes win.

MERCHANT MARINE (Tiznow) will wheel back eight days later off a score in the

Yankee Victor S. at Belmont for Allen Jerkens, and Grade 2 hero HARLINGTON

(Unbridled) will make his second start back off a year layoff. Winner of the

2006 Gulfstream Park H. (G2), Harlington finished a respectable third last time

versus a tough group of allowance/optional claiming rivals and could move

forward off that start for Tom Albertrani.

Grade 3 winner HUNTING (Coronado's Quest) is also entered, and Argentinean

import SOLAR FLARE (Arg) (Salt Lake), an allowance/optional claiming winner at

Delaware Park most recently, will make his second start stateside for Larry

Jones. New York-bred NAUGHTY NEW YORKER (Quiet American), an 11-time stakes

winner who is inching closer to the $1 million mark with $978,457 in earnings,

rounds out the field.

Frost Giant will follow A. P. Arrow in the post parade with Rudy Rodriguez

and a 114-pound weight assignment. Next comes Naughty New Yorker, Edgar Prado,

114; Solar Flare, Gabriel Saez, 114; Rising Moon, 115; Harlington, John

Velazquez, 116; Hunting, Kent Desormeaux, 115; and Merchant Marine, Javier

Castellano, 114.
