Last updated: 8/3/10 11:05 AM

The Breeders' Cup announced Tuesday that Fenwick Equestrian, a leading

manufacturer and supplier of equine products, has been named an official

Industry Champion partner of the Breeders' Cup World Championships.

The Breeders' Cup, Thoroughbred racing's global year-end championship,

consisting of 14 races and purses totaling $26 million over two days, will be

held at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky, on November 5-6, and will be

televised live to a worldwide audience on ESPN and to 130 countries.

As a part of the agreement, Fenwick will supply all horses participating in

this year's Breeders' Cup with their "Sporty Dress Sheet" which will be worn by

approximately 175 participating horses following workouts and exercise on the

backstretch at Churchill Downs during Breeders' Cup week. Each blanket will be

personalized with the name of the horse.

Fenwick's "Bodyguard Fly Sheet" will also be worn by the winners of all

Breeders' Cup Challenge qualifying races. The Breeders' Cup Challenge is a

global series of 65 stakes races held from July through October in England,

Ireland, France, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong and the United States, whose

winners automatically earn qualifying berths into the World Championships.

In addition, Fenwick will outfit each winner of a Breeders' Cup World

Championship race with an elegant "EquSuede Cooler." This high-tech,

high-performance cooler will be placed on each Breeders' Cup champion prior to

the winner's circle ceremony.

"Fenwick has quickly established a reputation for offering high quality

equine apparel and products, which fits perfectly into our philosophy of

providing the best in Thoroughbred racing," said Carter Carnegie, Breeders' Cup

senior vice president. "Fenwick's product line is a terrific way for us to honor

all the winners of Challenge races and to add a personal signature for the

participants competing in the World Championships."

"We are delighted and honored to establish an official partnership with the

Breeders' Cup, which for more than a quarter century has established the highest

standards of excellence in the sport of Thoroughbred racing," said Wilhelmina

McEwan, who co-owns Fenwick Equestrian with her brother Fred McEwan. "We are

pleased to present all Breeders' Cup competitors and Breeders' Cup Challenge

winners with the most technically advanced coolers and equine products."
