Full field will take Raven Run

Saturday's $300,000 Raven Run S. (G2) will feature a full field of 14

sophomore fillies, and the seven-furlong event has come up very contentious. Top contenders include MY LUCKY FREE (Mazel

Trick), MORNER (Broken Vow), CHEROKEE JEWEL (Cherokee Run), VESTREY LADY (Vicar)

and WINDY (Wild Rush).

My Lucky Free will bring a three-race win streak into her first start over an

all-weather track, winning the Blue Sparkler S. and Regret S. at Monmouth Park in

her last two outings. Joe Bravo will ride the Cam Gambolati-trained chestnut.

Morner is a listed stakes queen, taking the Smart Deb S. at Arlington Park two

back, and she exits a commendable second to Malibu Mint (Malibu Moon) in the

Weekend Delight S. at Turfway Park. That rival captured the Thoroughbred Club of

America S. (G3) last Friday.

Cherokee Jewel, a winner in four of six career attempts, including a 2

1/4-length score in the Capote Belle S. at Saratoga two starts back, will

attempt to rebound off a fourth-place effort in the Victory Ride S. (G3). Shaun

Bridgmohan will pick up the mount. Vestrey Lady has captured her last two starts

in front-running style, including a triumph over Woodbine's Polytrack last out

in the La Lorgnette S. Hall of Fame conditioner Bobby Frankel will send out

Windy, who recorded victories in her last two outings over allowance/optional

claiming rivals at Del Mar.

Stakes winner LAKE ALICE (Mt. Livermore), runner-up in the Beaumont S. (G2)

earlier this year, will lead the post parade under Kyle Kaenel. Next comes
