A field of eight has been entered to go 1 1/16 miles over Hollywood Park's

Cushion Track on Sunday in the $150,000 Hollywood Breeders' Cup Oaks (G2).

Railbird S. (G3) victress ASHLEY'S KITTY (Tale of the Cat) is looking for her second straight graded win

over the synthetic surface, but we're going with SILVER SWALLOW (Alphabet Soup)

to come out on top.

The Bruce Headley-trained gray broke her maiden twice. She took a Santa Anita

race in mid-January by a half-length but was disqualified to third, then

returned to that track in February to earn a two-length victory in another

maiden test. Silver Swallow was immediately thrown to the wolves when trying the

Santa Anita Oaks (G1) next out, but accounted herself well when best of the rest

behind Kentucky Oaks (G1) queen Rags to Riches (A.P. Indy). Last out, the

sophomore miss tried Hollywood's Cushion Track in the seven-furlong Railbird and rallied to just miss the win by a nose. With the extra distance here,

Silver Swallow has a much better chance of getting her picture taken, and will

have Alex Solis returning to the saddle.

SEASIDE AFFAIR (Sea of Secrets) dominated when making her debut over the Cushion

Track, breaking her maiden by 7 1/4 lengths, and is one of the speedsters in this

test. She earned her last win on Santa Anita's dirt and was then sent to the

turf, just missing by 1 3/4 lengths when fourth in the La Habra S. The bay lass

has been training well over Hollywood's synthetic track and could move forward

in a big way while coming off the turf. The John Sadler charge will have Richard Migliore aboard.

HUCKING HOT (GB) (Desert Prince [Ire]) took the Hidden Light S. in her U.S. debut

but has yet to visit the winner's circle in three starts since. She came the

closest last out while making her 2007 bow in the China Doll S. for trainer

Paddy Gallagher, utilizing a rail trip to just miss by a nose. The bay

filly earned a nice 96 BRIS Speed rating for that effort and could use the extra

sixteenth of a mile here to threaten for it all. Victor Espinoza has the call.

TOUGH TIZ'S SIS (Tiznow) will be challenging for pacesetting duties. The Bob

Baffert trainee was an easy winner of the Sunland Park Oaks two back, and then

tried some of the best in her division when entered in the Kentucky Oaks last

out. She ran a one-paced seventh throughout after being bumped at the start, but

has been working bullets since then. Tough Tiz's Sis will be tough to beat here,

but we're going to take a stand against and just tab for the exotics.

Ashley's Kitty has dropped just one race from four career starts, that coming

over the turf at Santa Anita in April. She returned last out to take the

Railbird by a nose, just holding off a fast-charging Silver Swallow to earn a 94

Speed figure. The Ted West charge has steadily improved with each start and

could continue that trend with a win in this one, but we'll just use her in the

gimmicks in her first route attempt. HIGH CHOLESTEROL (Until Sundown) took an

allowance over the Cushion Track and was fourth in the Railbird last out. The

chestnut miss might earn a check with Michael Baze aboard.

All three of SPENDITALLBABY's (Unusual Heat) wins have come on the turf and

we don't think she'll factor in this one. FOLLOW THE CLUES (Hold for Gold) exits

a maiden win and is taking a huge class jump here. We can't

recommend.
