TRACK BANDIT PREVIEWS

A small field of five has been entered in Friday's Honorable Miss H. (G2) at

Saratoga, and MISS MACY SUE (Trippi) is the filly to beat in the six-furlong

test. The Kelly Von Hemel charge is going for her fifth straight stakes victory

in this one, but we're tabbing G CITY GAL (Elusive Quality) to earn her first

black-type score here.

Trained by Todd Pletcher, the bay lass has finished off the board only once

from 11 career starts, that coming in an allowance at Gulfstream Park in March

2006. G City Gal has been a consistent stakes performer, finishing second or

third in seven black-type events, including the Princess Rooney H. (G1) most

recently. The four-year-old had to contend with good ground on that day,

rallying late to just miss by a length in third at the line. She earned a nice

101 BRIS Speed rating for her effort and, even more impressive, continued to add

nothing but triple-digit BRIS E2 Pace figures to her record. G City Gal was a

front-running allowance winner in her 2007 bow prior to her Calder run last out,

and returns to the track where she was just caught in the Victory Ride S. (G3)

last season. She'll be tough to run down if she gets away with an uncontested

lead under John Velazquez.

BURMILLA (Storm Cat) will be trying to move her record to a perfect

four-for-four while making her stakes debut in this spot. The lightly raced

four-year-old has steadily improved with each start and will probably move

forward here after making her seasonal bow off a nearly year-long layoff in a

Churchill Downs allowance. The Eoin Harty-trained chestnut was an easy

six-length allowance winner at Belmont last June to conclude her sophomore

campaign and will keep Rafael Bejarano in the saddle.

Miss Macy Sue is undefeated in 2007 from four starts, taking the Carousel S.,

Prairie Rose S., Winning Colors S. (G3) and Saylorville S. so far. The dark bay

filly is a six-furlong specialist, racking up eight wins and four placings from

14 starts at the distance, and worked a bullet three furlongs in :34 4/5 over

Saratoga's dirt to prepare for this one. Miss Macy Sue has the talent and

experience to take this one with Edgar Prado in the irons for the first time.

GRECIAN LOVER (Friendly Lover) appears to be a class below our top three, but

could add a second graded placing to her line if one of our top three falters.

However, the Allen Jerkens-conditioned five-year-old has hit the board only once in five

starts so far this year and is more likely to just take home a check.

INDIAN FLARE (Cherokee Run) is the 9-5 morning-line favorite and will share

highweight duties of 117 pounds with Miss Macy Sue. Unfortunately, we're just

not impressed with the bay five-year-old. She did capture the Vagrancy H. (G2),

but was a well-beaten 11th in the Princess Rooney last out. We'll let the

erratic mare beat us in this spot.
