TRACK BANDIT PREVIEWS

A strong group of female sprinters will contest Sunday's Inside Information

(G2) at Gulfstream and we could make a case for half the field. WARBLING

(Unbridled's Song) rates a slight edge in her third stakes appearance.

Warbling never appeared comfortable following an awkward break in the

Hurricane Bertie S. (G3) but still managed third, beaten only two lengths. The

four-year-old filly opened her racing career last fall on a good note,

registering a maiden win at Keeneland and an allowance tally at Churchill Downs,

and her BRIS Speed ratings have really improved in two stakes starts this

season, registering a 103 for an excellent head second in the Sugar Swirl S. (G3)

two back and a 101 in the Hurricane Bertie. The Eddie Kenneally filly figures to

appreciate the stretch out to seven furlongs with her pedigree and appears to be

training splendidly in preparation, registering a four-furlong bullet in :47 3/5

last Saturday at Palm Meadows. Julien Leparoux, who was up for her first

three starts but missed the Hurricane Bertie, returns to the saddle.

KAYS AND JAYS (Macho Uno) was a terrific winner of the Hurricane Bertie,

scoring by a half-length in her Gulfstream debut, and we won't be surprised to

see her make it two straight. The trainer switch from Mike Mitchell to Wesley

Ward is probably insignificant, and the four-year-old miss owns an admirable

11-5-3-0 career record, including a victory at seven furlongs. The in-form bay

lass will be hustling from the start with Jose Lezcano

TAR HEEL MOM (Flatter) didn't have the best trip in the Hurricane Bertie but

still made a stiff late run at Kays and Jays before checking in second. With

BRIS Speed ratings of 104,102 and103 in three of her last four starts, the Stanley

Hough-trained mare is at the top of her game and has shown an affinity for both

the track and trip. She'll be no surprise.

THUNDERS DOVE (Thunderello) didn't like the sloppy track in the Sugar Swirl

last out but is eligible to rebound with a much-improved showing. Conditioned by

Nick Zito, the six-year-old mare reeled off five straight wins before losing two

starts back in September, and the chestnut was an impressive winner in her lone

start at seven furlongs. She'll be part of the pace from the start and is an

intriguing upset candidate if the odds are right.

FIRST PASSAGE (Giant's Causeway) capped a three-race win streak in July with a victory in the Azalea

S. (G3) at Calder, and rounded out her

sophomore campaign with a decent fourth in the Test S. (G1). Trainer Marty

Wolfson excels with layoff horses and the dark bay filly appears to be training

forwardly for her return. We love the 110 BRIS Late Pace rating she earned

last time going seven furlongs and, though she might need a race, we give her a good

chance for a minor award.

PINKARELLA (Malibu Moon) took to dirt when cruising to a 4 1/4-length

allowance/optional claiming win last out, registering a 101 BRIS Speed rating,

and we can't completely dismiss her chances here. The Doug O'Neill runner may

receive a favorable stalking trip, but she will be stepping up to face much

tougher rivals. PRETTY PROLIFIC (Lion Heart) would move up on a wet track, but

we're inclined to go against her off a disappointing fourth in the Hurricane

Bertie.

CUVEE UNCORKED (Cuvee) has run well in her two starts at seven furlongs, but

the Northeast shipper has been earning lower Speed ratings. HONCHIS'N PONCHIS

(City Zip) gets part often, but she might be in too deep. SARATOGA TANGO

(Successful Appeal) probably needs an easier spot to be effective.
