Kastoria could rematch with Collier Hill

His Highness the Aga Khan's KASTORIA (Ire) (Selkirk), an unlucky runner-up in

last Sunday's Hong Kong Vase (HK-G1), could rematch with that race's winner

Collier Hill (GB) (Dr Devious [Ire]) in the Dubai Sheema Classic (UAE-G1) before

heading off to her breeding career.

"She's definitely going to be covered next year, because she'll be six and no

final decision has been taken if we can fit in the Sheema Classic or not,"

trainer John Oxx told Racing Post. "I believe she'll be covered by Gone

West, but after March 31 would be getting on a bit into the stud season, so

we'll have to wait and see."

The blaze-faced chestnut won a trio of staying events in Ireland over the

summer, capped by a half-length victory in the Irish St Leger S. (Ire-G1). She

struggled over soft ground when eighth to Collier Hill in the Canadian

International S. (Can-G1) at Woodbine and was likely the best in the Vase, only

to fall just short.

"Kastoria just had an unfortunate bump at a crucial stage which cost her the

race, I suppose, but the way she ran and the way she finished, she ran a real

good race," Oxx added.
