Champion sprinter LOST IN THE FOG (Lost Soldier) made his four-year-old debut in

the Golden Gate Fields Sprint S. on April 22, running second by three lengths as

the heavy 2-5 favorite. On Saturday, the Greg Gilchrist-trained colt will try to

go one spot better in the $150,000 Aristides Breeders' Cup H. (G3) at Churchill

Downs.

Prior to last year's Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1), the dark bay was undefeated

in 10 starts, taking many by easy margins. After a season that saw him win,

among others, the King's Bishop S. (G1), Swale S. (G2) and Riva Ridge Breeders'

Cup S. (G2), Lost in the Fog could do no better than seventh in the Breeder's

Cup. He'll make his Churchill debut in the Aristides and will carry the top weight of

124 pounds, giving away seven to 12 pounds to his rivals. Regular rider Russell Baze will be in the irons.

Hoping to continue the dethroning of Lost in the Fog will be KELLY'S LANDING

(Patton), who set a track record when capturing this event last year by 1 3/4 lengths after rallying from midpack. Also in the field is LEVEL PLAYINGFIELD (Level Sands), who exits a

third in the Churchill Downs H. (G2).

YES YES YES (Yes It's True) will break from the rail under 113 pounds,

including Mark Guidry. To their outside will be COUGAR CAT (Storm Cat), Robby Albarado, 112; EXCITING METRO (Carson City), Rene Douglas, 115; Level

Playingfield, John McKee, 114; Lost in the Fog; PRO PRADO (El Prado [Ire]),

Calvin Borel, 114; and Kelly's Landing, Rafael Bejarano, 117.

One race earlier, a field of nine three-year-old fillies will go one mile in

the $150,000 Dogwood Breeders' Cup S. (G3). READY TO PLEASE (More Than Ready)

will be making her return off an easy three-length victory in the April 14

Fantasy S. (G2) at Oaklawn Park. The Todd Pletcher-trained miss will try to

extend a three-race win streak, and Bejarano will be aboard for the first time.

JOINT EFFORT (Runaway Groom) has captured the Sunshine Millions Oaks and La

Troienne S. (G3) so far this year and will try to add this event to her resume

as well. Also entered is CORONADO'S VISION (Coronado's Quest), who was three

parts of a length in front of eventual Kentucky Oaks (G1) winner Lemons Forever

(Lemon Drop Kid) when second by neck in the Bourbonette Breeders' Cup S. (G3)

two starts back.

Coronado's Vision, who led for much of the Bourbonette, will lead the way to

the gate under a 116-pound impost that includes Guidry. Ready to Please will be

next while carrying 120 and followed by PERFORMING DIVA (Storm Cat), Corey

Lanerie, 116; LAKE ALICE (Mt. Livermore), Josué

Arce, 116; HUMOROUS GAL (Distorted Humor), Borel, 116; VICTORINA (Delaware

Township), Baze, 116; Joint Effort, Douglas, 116; JOYFUL RHAPSODY (Horse

Chestnut [SAf]), Bridgmohan, 116; and COOLWIND (Forest Wildcat), Albarado, 116.

Starting the stakes action on the card will be the $100,000

Opening Verse H., featuring two-time defending champion and Grade 2 hero SENOR SWINGER

(El Prado [Ire]), taking on six rivals in the 1 1/16-mile turf test. After the

graded events, a field of 10 will go five furlongs on the turf in the $70,000

Texas

Glitter H.
